OUR STORY

We aim to indulge all your senses.

The first Punjabi Dhaba was presumably settled not long after the connecting of the urban communities of India by expressways (national, state and town streets). Dhaba’s were portrayed by mud structures and bunks to sit upon (charpai/moda) while eating. A wooden board would be put over the width of the bunk on which to place the dishes. With time, the beds were supplanted by tables. The food is normally economical and has a 'homemade' feel to it.

MITRAN DA DHABA is just not the name, it’s a real Dhaba experience. Chef Gurbinder Singh (Gora) from Amritsar is introducing pure and authentic north Indian Desi Cuisine with the Dhaba experience. Gora wants to bring together his 15 years of culinary experience to the Dhaba in Desi Style. The Dhaba seating arrangement along with its unique ambience and rustic village style décor make it ideal for enjoying some great North Indian food. The concept is to introduce freshly cooked everyday menu for the first time in Sydney with the real Dhaba.
